Virawah, the traditional place of the ancient port of Pari-Nagar is located near the town municipality of Nagarparkar, Sindh.  It holds the remains of a magnificent Jaina temple built by once a thriving community of Jains in Virawah. Along with architectural decorations Jaina temple at Virawah is adorned with sculptures of Tirthankaras, animals۔ birds and mythical creatures having spiritual significance. Sculptural remains are an important source of information about the religious beliefs of a community responsible for building the temple in which they were enshrined. In this research article, the origins of sculptural remains of this magnificent Jaina relic are discussed.
